As a service to the Internet community INTERNET @ KLUBS makes available, for personal use only, a home-page-writing engine. This is not to be used for business or commercial applications! In pressing the "DO IT" button the user agrees that the home page generated by this engine will not be used in corporate or commercial applications.

NOTE: Due to the volume of pages written only one hundred pages will be stored on our server at any given time.

Directions:

To use this automatic home page writer fill out this form. When you press the "DO IT!" button the data from this form will go to our computer where a program called a CGI script will write a home page for you.

You have to do the following things;

(1) Make a directory on your hard-drive for temporary storage of your home page.

(2) Save the background you select (see below) in this temporary directory.

(3) When the home page comes back to you (after you have pressed the "DO IT" button), you will have to use your browser to save your page (with Netscape use the save option in the File menu). Save this file in the same directory you just made with the filename "default.htm".

(4) Now You have to upload both the default.htm and the background jpg to your web server. The method for doing this varies with the type of server your service provider uses. If you do not know how to do this contact your service provider.

Page Title: This data is used by various search engines, or shows up when you print your page. It also shows up on some browsers as the blue strip at the very top of the screen. (For example, The title of this page you are looking at is "Automatic Page Writer"

Page Background: Now you get to pick the background "texture" of your page. To keep things simple we will have limited your choices to the backgrounds in the table below.

You have to save this background in the temporary directory! If you are using Netscape put your cursor over the background you selected and press the right button to bring up the save menu.

Now you get to pick the color of the text in your homepage. Remember to pick a color that contrasts with the background selected above!

Now centered at the top of your page in BIG letters will be the name of the page, this is usually something like JANIS OZOLS WONDERFUL HOME PAGE or something like that (if you want to use sign ', than type it twice '', because otherway you will receive eror message). Input this data below:

Now enter the "body" of your page. Type it in the area below exactly the way you want it to look on your page! This is what-you-enter-is-what-you-get! Be careful not to run off the end of the white space below, because then your text will also run off your homepage.


Now the last thing we need is to put an e-mail link on your page so people can e-mail you.

Now all you need to do is press the "DO IT" button and save your page. If you do not like the way your page looks just come back here and re-do it. There will be a link on the bottom of your page back to our homepage. You get a free homepage, we get some free advertising.
